We are excited to welcome Rabbi David Helfand and his family to meet the Shaare Torah community, January 24-26! This email includes details of many opportunities for you to meet Rabbi Helfand, to get to know him, and to provide your assessment of his fit for Shaare Torah.
The weekend is full of events, most open to everyone, with a few geared to specific demographic groups to facilitate interaction on a smaller scale. Please find one or two that best fit you, your family, and your schedule. We ask you to preregister to help us determine set up, food, and how best to plan for meaningful interactions. The Rabbi Search Team has met and interacted with Rabbi Helfand on multiple occasions. We feel strongly he has many of the skills, abilities and qualities that could resonate well within our community. For more information about Rabbi Helfand please find his bio here.

9:30 am – Rabbi Helfand will join the 6th grade Shabbat students and their parents (ST)
10:00 am – Saturday Morning Services. Rabbi Helfand will lead the Torah service and Musaf, give a d’var Torah and read from the Torah. (ST)
12:00 pm – Kiddush Lunch (ST)
1:00 pm – Q&A with Rabbi Helfand. Please submit questions by Thursday, January 23rd using the registration link. Only questions submitted in advance will be asked during the Q&A. (ST)
1:00 pm – Structured activities will be provided with supervision for children in kindergarten through 5th grade whose parents are in the Q&A session.
