Yom Rabin: The Jewish Day of Healthy Arguments

November 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join Beth Sholom, Beth Ami, and Shaare Torah on November 17th at 7 PM at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington for a powerful Yom Rabin: A Day of Healthy Argument.

Together, we will honor the legacy of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was tragically assassinated on November 4, 1995 (12 Cheshvan) at a peace rally in Tel Aviv. In the months before his murder, Israel was marked by deepening divides, hate speech, and incitement—reminding us of the harm that destructive disagreement can bring.

In Rabin’s memory, we unite to transform Yom Rabin into the Jewish Day of Healthy Argument. Through guided discussions and community-building programs, we’ll explore the power of constructive dialogue—learning to embrace our differences in ways that build understanding, bridge divides, and strengthen our bonds. This day is dedicated to fostering respectful arguments that bring us closer, allowing us to grow together despite our disagreements.

Come and be a part of this impactful evening as we honor Yitzhak Rabin’s legacy and commit to nurturing a culture of healthy dialogue in our community.
